Eating Out

Our breakfast room is very spacious with enough tables to seat all our guests.  We do not serve lunch or dinner as the surrounding area is full of great places to eat and drink.

Right next door is the New Tredegar Pub, serving good traditional pub food.  Open seven days a week their extensive menu includes steaks, fish and a good vegetarian selection as well as the ever changing specials board and a Sunday Carvery.  Sundays are busy so it is worthwhile booking.  For more details click here or call them on 01639 830229.

Less than 100m walk away is the highly acclaimed The George Inn.  Revitalised in 2010 by new owners Rob and Jayne, The George has a built an excellent reputation for the quality of its kitchen.  Their specialities are their grills and baby back ribs.  This is a treat not to be missed by meat lovers.   For more details click here or call them on 01639 831229.   They are always busy, so give them a call and book a table.

In the neighbouring village of Ystradgynlais there are a range of pubs as well as Indian and Chinese restaurants.  A little further afield there is the very popular Abercrave Inn; for real ale lovers there is The Ancient Briton and the award winning Penycae Inn.

There are an number of other good food establishments in the immediate area as well as the huge variety that Swansea has to offer.
